Over the last year it has been difficult to escape the news of rising house prices, but this has also been the case for rental properties for example a 3 bedroom well maintained semi-detached house with garage was let in 2019 at £900, recently achieved £1200 pcm. That's a 33% increase in 3 years!
Given the 'cost of living crisis' we are all now experiencing, it is my opinion that rents will not rise as fast this year but given the shortage in supply, I do not anticipate a large drop either. If you are looking to invest your money, now is a good time to look at bricks and mortar.
